  2. STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT MATCHMAKING. We get it you’re somewhere between 4.6k-5.6k and you sometimes go against higher level people. What you may not understand is that matchmaking is based on trophy count (and win/loss streaks) but NOT tower/card levels. Supercell is never going to change this. Any sort of level-based matchmaking on ladder won’t work, simply because it would make upgrading cards not important and it ruins the progression of the game. You either have to play longer to upgrade your cards, or get better at the game. I have a level 1 account with a pb of over 5.2k, which proves it’s not impossible to beat higher level players if you are good enough. Obviously not every matchup is gonna be winnable, but that’s just how this game works. And no, the matchmaking is not rigged against you, people have done studies and proved that the game does not put you against hard counters all the times. You just need a better deck. The only “rigged” matchmaking is when your on a big win or loss streak it puts you against other people on a big win/loss streak. but that’s not rigged against you, its just to even out everyone’s win or loss percentage so no one has a 10% or 90% win percentage.   6. My mini has level 6 and 7 cards, I got matched with a level 10 with level 11, 12 and 10 cards. Matchmaking is very balanced, would play again! Hey guys, I know clan wars may sound boring to most of you, but I really think they're something positive for a few aspects: -They help to build a bond in the clan: People can interact with each other and make new friends, that way they'll stay active in the game; -Are a good source of gold and tokens: Gives good rewards for only playing 4 battles; -Help people to find active clans: People try to find clans well positionated in wars to join; -And some other things: Like promoting conversations between clan members, help leaders to find elders and co-leaders, stimulate the competence between the clan, help leaders to kick the worst members, etc. Problem: The problem is new clans will, most of the time, get stuck between 2900-3100 war thropies. After your clan hits 3000 war thropies is super hard to stay in the legendary arena, for the simple reason that when you start the war, most of the time it matches you against some clans that have more than 10k war thropies, which make almost imposible to beat those clans in clan wars. So your clan will, most likely, get between 3rd and 5th place most of the times. This is something I noticed in a few clans I went, and everytime I ask, the response is the same: To hit more than 3000 war thropies is easy, the hard part is to stay. I know the matchmaking works this way: when you play the final battle it matches you against someone with similar thropies than you. I find this perfectly fine, but I also think this could be better, because clans with very high war thropies usually win more than the 65% of the battles, while new clans in the league rarely have a 50% winrate. Solution: In my opinion, clans between 3000-4000 war thropies should be matched up togheter, or a similar number. I think this will help a lot to clans that want to grow and can't because they can't stay in legendary league. I know the consequences will imply to wait longer to find clans with similar war thropies, but I think it will be worth the time. I think this is not something hard to make, so why not give it a try and see how it goes? In my opinion, this is a really simple idea, maybe SC didn't notice because they're busy on other things like balance changes, CRL, new seasons, cards to be released, etc. By throwing this idea I hope SC to take it in consideration or use it to find a better solution I didn't notice.   8. Background I've been playing CR since its inception and am always sceptical that ladder matchmaking algorithm is only based on trophy count and losing streak. Recently I feel that I am seeing more of the same card appearing in two consecutive matches. e.g. fighting P.E.E.K.A in two back-to-back matches. I want to see if Supercell's matchmaking algorithm actually takes into account the card that I recently met in my previous match. i.e. mathematically, I want to know if there is any Markov Chain at play here. Problem statement Check if the same card appearing in two consecutive matches are common enough for us to say that it's part of the matchmaking algorithm. Mathematically: check if the probability of a card A appears in the next match is affected by the probability of the same card A appears in the current match, OR the event that card A in the next match is dependent of the event that card A appears in the current match. Conclusion (TL;DR) It's UNLIKELY that Supercell takes into account the current opponent's card to determine whether the same card should appear again in the next match. Below is the chart showing the top 10 cards which their appearance in the next match seems to be most affected by their appearance in the current match. i.e. top 10 cards which seem to appear consecutively. e.g. Lightning will appear 8.0% more likely in the next match if it appears in the current match. Despite these top 10 cards, the highest % difference is still only 8.4% which I would say not statistically significant. ​ Top 10 cards Long version (math ahead) Defining event A as a card X (e.g. Princess) appears in the current match and event B as the same card X (e.g. Princess) appears in the next match, I need to calculate the probability of event B given that event A has just occurred; P(B|A). i.e. the probability that a card X appears in the next match given that it has just appeared in the current match. To check that a card appears in the next match (event B) is unaffected by the card appearing in the current match (a.k.a. the two events are independent of each other), I need to prove that P(B|A) is equal to P(B). i.e. knowing that a card X appears in the current match does not give any information on whether the same card X will appear in the next match. If P(B|A) =/= P(B), the two events are said to be dependent of each other. The greater the difference the more dependent the two events are. In this case, I calculate |P(B|A) - P(B)| and plot the top 10 cards with the greatest difference (removing cards which appear less than 30 times). While there are differences found in these 10 cards, the difference is rather small with the max difference is only 8.4% and only 6 cards have a difference greater than 5%. With this, I think we can conclude that the difference is not significant enough and hence the two events are independent of each other, OR the appearance of card X in the current match does not affect its appearance in the next match.   9. This sub gets posts every day about the how matchmaking is unfair and if you've posted one or are planning to post one please read this. There are so many complaints from level 10 players saying they can't move up to the next league because they are versing level 11/12/13's. I am a level 10 player in the same position and it is annoying to face level 13's with cards 3 levels higher than yours. But imagine if people only versed opponents the level they are, so level 10's versed other level 10's and so on. It would ruin the game because it would be based purely on level and not a bit on how much you spend on your cards (apart from the ones in your deck). Say you get to level 8 and only level up the cards in your deck so the cards are level 11 while the rest of your cards are at base level you would then face other level 8's that way have lower cards than you and you will then rocket through the ranks.   11. I am new to this game and have only played for about a month now. I'm kind of feeling this game is p2w? I have grinded blood and sweat to reach arena 13 as a f2p. Upwards from arena 4, I have noticed ALL of my opponents were higher level than me in tower and cards. It's even worse at arena 13. A level 8 player with level 9 cards going up against level 10+ people with cards 2-4 level higher than mine. Only once in a blue moon do I see a level 9 or even a level 8. Literally can't climb after hitting arena 13 but at least I couldn't drop lower than 4k trophies. Are these p2w people so bad that they can't even climb on their own level range? Or am I getting gate kept from people losing on purpose just to stop people like me from climbing?   13. Everyone of us know how matchmaking works. Mostly card levels and king tower to its respective arena ( I guess). Since last 3 seasons since i achieved my personal best of master 2 (5300+) I suddenly matched up against level 13's more often. Well certainly they do have higher cards it's skill what matters but c'mon how can a 2 underlevel card can defend against a maxed card ( I have 60 % cards at 10, 30% at 90, and only one card at level 12 ). SOLUTION We all know avg Elixir of cards those 2.8 hog cycles, 2.7 xbow etc. Just like this why not have avg level cards that means if a player has 8 cards of level 10 cards his avg card level be 8 (10 level x 8 cards = 80/ 8 cards ) . . if he has level 5 half cards and rest level 10 his avg card level be ( 5x4 = 20 and 10x4= 40 totals 60 ; 60/8 cards) 7.5 this will help The clash royale servers a precise numbers to rate. . . By matchmaking a 8 Avg level card player with similar one this problem can solve a bit more. . . Is there any backdoor ? <Yes there is by only putting one card level 11+ it may outperform the rest deck but it's really hard and requires a support troop.
